On August 28, 2025, the "World's First Appraisal and Launch Conference on the Application of a Maglev Vacuum Pump System for Wide-Width, High-Speed Paper Machines" was successfully held in Laibin, Guangxi, organized by Tianrui Heavy Industry and Xianhe Co., Ltd. The appraisal committee, comprised of leading experts in China's pulp and paper, light machinery, and paper machine design industries, listened to technical reports, received user feedback, and conducted on-site inspections of the application site. The expert appraisal committee unanimously determined that the project's overall technical level reached internationally leading levels. The event was grandly launched on-site, marking a milestone in the full-scale application of maglev turbine vacuum systems in large, high-speed paper machines.
Maglev vacuum pumps are fully equipped for paper machine, setting a new benchmark in the industry
Guangxi Xianhe New Materials newly built large-scale, high-speed specialty paper production line features a 7,360mm paper machine width and a designed speed of 1,400m/min. The entire line is equipped with a maglev turbine vacuum system developed by Tianrui Heavy Industry, generating a total installed power of 3,632kW. Since its commissioning in May 2025, the equipment has been operating stably and reliably. This vacuum system utilizes intelligent air flow control, redundant design, and integrated remote operation and maintenance technology driven by big data, enabling online maintenance without downtime, ensuring continuous production and consistent paper quality. This marks a world-leading example of a large-scale paper machine fully equipped with a maglev turbine vacuum system, and serves as a model for the widespread application of maglev vacuum pumps in subsequent large-scale paper machines.
Three years of cooperation, significant energy-saving results
To foster innovation and promote energy conservation and emission reduction, Xianhe Co., Ltd. entered into a strategic partnership with Tianrui Heavy Industry in 2023. To date, the two parties have installed 83 units of maglev energy-saving equipment, including maglev blowers, maglev vacuum pumps, and maglev chillers, across Xianhe Co., Ltd.'s five production bases, totaling over 20,000 kW. Fourteen of these production lines are equipped with maglev vacuum pumps, covering seven major paper types, achieving significant energy savings and noise reduction.
